Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Dell servers, storage solutions, and network infrastructure.
- Monitor system performance, ensure high availability, and implement proactive measures to prevent downtime.
- Administer Windows Server (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP) and Linux environments (RHEL, CentOS).
- Manage and maintain virtualization platforms, primarily VMware vSphere.
- Implement and enforce system security policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Perform regular system backups and disaster recovery planning and testing.
- Provide advanced technical support and problem resolution for system-related issues.
- Collaborate with other IT teams and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and operation of services.
- Document system configurations, processes, and procedures thoroughly.
- Participate in on-call rotation for critical system support as required to ensure 24/7 operational continuity.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a System Administrator, specifically with Dell hardware.
- Strong expertise in Windows Server operating systems (2016, 2019, 2022) and services.
- Proficiency in Linux administration (e.g., RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu).
- Solid understanding of virtualization technologies, particularly VMware vSphere.
- Experience with network protocols, services, and security best practices.
- Familiarity with Storage Area Networks (SAN) and Network-Attached Storage (NAS) solutions.
- Scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) for automation of routine tasks.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of explaining technical concepts clearly.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, CompTIA Server+, VMware Certified Professional).
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and hybrid cloud environments.
