Job Description
We are seeking a talented and imaginative Graphic Illustrator to join our dynamic remote creative team. As a Graphic Illustrator, you will be instrumental in bringing concepts to life through captivating visual narratives, working closely with our art directors, designers, and content creators. This is a unique opportunity for a creative individual to make a significant impact on various client projects, ranging from digital campaigns and social media content to print materials and branding initiatives. You will be responsible for conceptualising and executing a wide array of illustrations that align with brand guidelines and project objectives, ensuring visual consistency and creative excellence. The ideal candidate will possess a strong portfolio demonstrating versatility in style, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to translate complex ideas into clear and engaging visuals. Your work will play a crucial role in enhancing user engagement and communicating our clients’ messages effectively across diverse media.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop original illustrations, icons, and visual elements for various digital and print projects, including websites, apps, marketing materials, social media, and presentations.
- Collaborate closely with creative directors, art directors, and other designers to understand project requirements and translate conceptual ideas into compelling visual solutions.
- Maintain brand consistency across all illustrated assets, adhering strictly to established style guides and client specifications.
- Present and articulate design concepts and rationale to internal teams and external stakeholders, incorporating feedback efficiently.
- Manage multiple illustration projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery within set deadlines.
- Stay updated with industry trends, illustration techniques, and software advancements to continually enhance design quality and efficiency.
- Contribute proactively to brainstorming sessions and creative strategy development.
- Archive and manage design files meticulously for easy access and future reference.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and other relevant illustration software.
- Demonstrable portfolio showcasing a strong range of illustration styles and techniques.
- Excellent understanding of design principles, typography, colour theory, and composition.
- Ability to interpret creative briefs and develop unique, high-quality illustrations independently.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate creative decisions clearly.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a remote team environment, managing time and priorities efficiently.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing pixel-perfect, high-quality deliverables.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Illustration, Fine Arts, or a related creative field.
- Experience with motion graphics or animation (After Effects, Premier Pro) is a plus.
- Familiarity with UI/UX design principles and creating illustrations for digital interfaces.
- Experience working in an agency environment or on multiple client accounts.
- Proficiency with digital sketching and painting tools (e.g., Procreate, Corel Painter).
