Key Responsibilities

  • Assist skilled tradespeople (e.g., bricklayers, carpenters, plasterers) with various tasks on site.
  • Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and loading/unloading materials.
  • Operate basic hand and power tools safely and efficiently under supervision.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Move and transport materials such as concrete, bricks, timber, and steel using wheelbarrows or other equipment.
  • Perform general maintenance of equipment and tools.
  • Support with demolition tasks, including breaking concrete and dismantling structures.
  • Assist with mixing and pouring concrete and other construction materials.
  • Follow instructions from site managers and supervisors meticulously.
  • Adhere to all site-specific safety protocols and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
