Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced IT Project Manager with a strong focus on Tech Planning to join our dynamic team in Sheffield. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the full project lifecycle for IT initiatives, from initial planning and scope definition through to execution, monitoring, and successful closure.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including detailed timelines, resource allocation, budget management, and risk assessments for technology projects.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration between technical teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors to ensure clear understanding and alignment on project goals.
- Oversee the selection, implementation, and integration of new technologies and systems, ensuring they meet business requirements and strategic objectives.
- Monitor project progress, track key performance indicators (KPIs), identify potential issues, and implement proactive solutions to keep projects on track.
- Manage project budgets, resource allocation, and timelines, ensuring efficient use of company assets and adherence to financial constraints.
- Conduct post-implementation reviews to evaluate project success, identify lessons learned, and recommend improvements for future projects.
- Contribute to the development of IT strategy and technology roadmap by providing insights and recommendations based on market trends and internal needs.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (minimum 4 years) as an IT Project Manager with a focus on tech planning or similar roles.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Jira, Asana, Microsoft Project).
- Demonstrable ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and prioritise effectively.
- Solid technical understanding of IT infrastructure, software development lifecycles, and data management.
- Experience with budget management and resource planning.
Preferred Qualifications
