Job Description
P&H Milling Group is immediately seeking a dedicated and physically capable Warehouse Tote Loader to join our dynamic team in Flamborough, Hamilton. This full-time position is critical to the efficient operation of our warehouse and distribution efforts, ensuring our products are prepared accurately and safely for shipment. As a Tote Loader, you will be responsible for the meticulous loading and unloading of various products, primarily bagged flour and feed, into totes and onto trucks, adhering strictly to safety protocols and quality standards. This role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent physical stamina, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team. You will play a vital part in maintaining the smooth flow of goods, contributing directly to our customer satisfaction and operational success. Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently load and unload various products, including bagged flour and feed, into and out of totes, trucks, and trailers.
- Operate pallet jacks, hand trucks, and potentially other warehouse equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
- Verify product quantities and ensure accuracy of loaded materials against shipping documents.
- Stack and organize products within the warehouse and shipping areas according to established procedures.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Perform routine checks on equipment and report any malfunctions or safety concerns to supervisors.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
- Collaborate with warehouse team members and supervisors to optimize workflow and meet daily targets.
- Assist with inventory counts and general warehouse duties as needed.
- Report any discrepancies or damage to products immediately to the appropriate personnel.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects repeatedly (up to 50 lbs) throughout a shift.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in counting and verifying products.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills to read shipping labels and understand instructions.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all safety protocols.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
