Job Description

The Alaska SeaLife Center is seeking a dedicated and tech-savvy Customer Support Specialist to join our remote team. In this pivotal role, you will be the compassionate voice and helpful guide for our diverse community of visitors, members, donors, and partners. Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service via phone, email, and chat for a wide range of inquiries including ticket sales, membership services, program registrations, and general information.
- Resolve customer issues and complaints efficiently and courteously, escalating complex problems to appropriate internal teams when necessary.
- Document all customer interactions accurately and thoroughly in our CRM system.
- Collaborate effectively with remote colleagues and other departments (e.g., Admissions, Education, Development) to ensure a cohesive and positive customer experience.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the Alaska SeaLife Center's exhibits, programs, events, and conservation efforts.
- Assist with processing online orders, donations, and membership renewals.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of customer support processes and remote collaboration tools.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, ensuring data privacy and security in all interactions.
- Participate in virtual team meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
Required Skills
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a customer service or support role.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional and friendly demeanor.
- Proficiency with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, Zendesk) and other remote communication tools.
