Job Description
Blue Ocean Interactive Marketing is seeking a talented and self-motivated Part-Time Remote WordPress Developer to join our growing team. As a Part-Time Remote WordPress Developer, you’ll be an integral part of our development cycle, collaborating closely with project managers, designers, and other developers to deliver outstanding web solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and deploy custom WordPress themes and plugins from scratch based on design specifications.
- Integrate third-party APIs and services into WordPress websites.
- Perform routine website maintenance, updates, and backups to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Optimize WordPress websites for speed, SEO, and responsiveness across all devices.
- Collaborate with designers to ensure technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
- Debug and troubleshoot complex WordPress issues, providing timely and effective solutions.
- Maintain clear and concise code documentation.
- Stay updated with the latest WordPress developments, web technologies, and industry best practices.
Required Skills
- 3+ years of professional experience in WordPress theme and plugin development.
- Proficiency in PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/jQuery.
- Strong understanding of WordPress architecture, hooks, and filters.
- Experience with responsive design principles and mobile-first development.
- Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.
- Ability to write clean, well-documented, and efficient code.
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Strong communication and time management skills for a remote work environment.
