Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Department Supervisor to join our team in Pocatello, Idaho. As a Department Supervisor, you will be instrumental in overseeing the daily operations of a specific department within our retail store. Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, and develop a team of department associates, including training, scheduling, and performance management.
- Oversee daily department operations, including merchandising, inventory control, stock rotation, and product presentation.
- Ensure exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving complaints, and fostering a customer-centric environment.
- Monitor department sales performance, analyze trends, and implement strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment, ensuring compliance with all company policies and health and safety regulations.
- Manage product ordering, receiving, and storage to minimize waste and optimize stock levels.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies, reporting issues to store management.
- Collaborate with other department supervisors and store management to ensure seamless store operations and a cohesive team effort.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a retail supervisory or team leadership role.
- Strong understanding of retail operations, including merchandising and inventory management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to train, coach, and motivate a diverse team.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
- Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to providing outstanding service.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field.
- Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems and retail software.
