Key Responsibilities
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, real estate agents, and other referral sources within the Enchanted Lake, Kailua community.
- Conduct thorough financial needs assessments and analyze creditworthiness to recommend appropriate loan products.
- Guide clients through the entire loan application process, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all required documentation.
- Educate clients on various loan options, terms, and requirements, ensuring full understanding and transparency.
- Ensure strict compliance with all federal, state, and local lending regulations, as well as internal bank policies.
- Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly loan production targets and sales goals.
- Stay informed about market trends, competitor offerings, and changes in lending regulations.
- Collaborate effectively with internal processing, underwriting, and closing teams to ensure a smooth and efficient loan process.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in loan origination or a related financial services role.
- Strong understanding of mortgage lending regulations and loan products.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Demonstrated ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and loan origination software (LOS).
- High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- NMLS (Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System) license is highly preferred or willingness to obtain it immediately.
- Existing network and knowledge of the Kailua and broader Oahu real estate market.
- Experience with CRM software specific to the financial industry.
