Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive credit assessments for new and existing clients, analyzing financial statements, cash flow projections, and business models.
 - Prepare detailed credit proposals and present recommendations to senior management and credit committees.
 - Identify, evaluate, and mitigate potential credit risks in line with Westpac's credit policies and regulatory guidelines.
 - Monitor client portfolios for changes in financial condition or market trends that may impact credit risk.
 - Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, economic conditions, and regulatory changes affecting credit risk management.
 - Collaborate with sales and relationship managers to structure appropriate credit solutions for clients.
 - Ensure all credit decisions and documentation comply with internal policies and external regulations.
 - Participate in the continuous improvement of credit processes and risk management frameworks.
 - Communicate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders regarding credit terms and conditions.
 
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
 - Minimum of 3 years of experience in credit analysis or a related financial services role.
 - Proven ability to analyze complex financial statements and business models.
 - Strong understanding of credit risk principles, lending products, and financial regulations.
 - Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
 - Proficiency in financial modeling and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
 - Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
 - Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
 
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, FRM).
