Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Compliance Associate to join our team in Downtown, Waipahu. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of compliance policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular reviews of transactions and customer accounts to ensure adherence to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) regulations.
  • Prepare detailed reports on compliance findings and present recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Stay updated on changes in banking regulations and communicate their implications to relevant departments.
  • Participate in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Support the training of staff on compliance-related topics and internal policies.
  • Investigate and resolve compliance-related inquiries and issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive compliance records and documentation.
  • Collaborate with legal, risk, and operational teams to ensure a cohesive approach to compliance.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Law, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a compliance, risk management, or regulatory role within the financial services industry.
  • Strong understanding of AML/CTF, KYC, OFAC, and other relevant banking regulations.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) certification or equivalent.
  • Experience with compliance software and database management systems.
  • Knowledge of Hawaii-specific financial regulations.
  • Proven ability to interpret complex regulatory guidelines and apply them to business operations.
