Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
  • Develop and maintain internal control safeguards for assets, liabilities, revenues, and expenditures.
  • Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations, ensuring discrepancies are identified and resolved promptly.
  • Assist with the preparation of budgets, financial forecasts, and variance analysis to support business planning.
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors during financial audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Interpret and apply accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Provide financial guidance and support to various business units as needed.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in an accounting or financial reporting role
  • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, advanced formulas)
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA certification or actively pursuing CPA licensure
  • Experience with large enterprise accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle Financials)
  • Previous experience in the financial services or banking industry
  • Master's degree in Accounting or Business Administration
