Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical and electronic issues in various types of watches (mechanical, automatic, quartz).
- Perform complete watch overhauls, including disassembly, cleaning, lubrication, and reassembly of movements.
- Replace worn or broken watch components such as gears, mainsprings, crystals, crowns, and gaskets.
- Regulate and adjust watches for optimal timekeeping accuracy using specialized timing equipment.
- Conduct thorough water resistance testing and ensure proper sealing.
- Handle delicate micro-components with exceptional manual dexterity and precision.
- Provide accurate cost estimates and timelines for repairs to customers.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and secure workspace.
- Keep detailed records of repairs, parts used, and service performed.
- Continuously update knowledge on new watch technologies and repair techniques.
- Interact professionally with clients, explaining technical issues and solutions clearly and courteously.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Watch Repairer or Timepiece Technician.
- Expert knowledge of watch movements, both mechanical and quartz.
