Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and process incoming merchandise from delivery trucks, verifying contents against invoices and documenting discrepancies.
- Efficiently sort, organize, and store products in designated backroom and storage areas, adhering to safety and organizational standards.
- Stock shelves and display racks on the sales floor with new merchandise, ensuring accurate product placement and appealing presentation.
- Operate manual and powered equipment (such as pallet jacks, stackers, or balers, after proper training) safely and effectively.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the receiving and storage areas, including proper disposal of waste and recycling.
- Assist with inventory counts, cycle counts, and stock rotation to ensure accuracy and freshness of products.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and leaders to achieve daily operational goals and maintain a smooth workflow.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety guidelines, policies, and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Provide support to other store operations as needed, contributing to a positive team environment.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move merchandise weighing up to 40-50 pounds regularly and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling products and verifying shipments.
- Basic communication skills to interact effectively with team members and follow instructions.
- Demonstrated reliability and punctuality, with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new tasks and procedures.
