Wisynco Group Limited is seeking a dedicated Warehouse Supervisor to join our dynamic team in Prospect, Morant Bay. In this critical role, you will be instrumental in overseeing all daily warehouse operations, ensuring the efficient and accurate management of goods, inventory, and personnel. Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching goods.
- Manage inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts, reconciliations, and strict adherence to FIFO/LIFO principles.
- Oversee the loading and unloading of trucks, ensuring proper documentation and safe handling of all materials.
- Implement and enforce warehouse safety protocols, conducting regular safety briefings and ensuring a hazard-free environment.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate warehouse staff, fostering a culture of teamwork, productivity, and accountability.
- Optimize warehouse layout and space utilization to enhance efficiency and flow of goods.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as order fulfillment rates, inventory accuracy, and productivity.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to streamline operations and reduce costs.
- Operate and maintain warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Collaborate with procurement, sales, and logistics teams to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
- Resolve inventory discrepancies and address operational issues promptly and effectively.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and relevant regulatory standards.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in a warehouse or logistics environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Proven experience with inventory management systems and warehouse management software (WMS).
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, safety standards, and best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely (e.g., forklift certification preferred or willingness to obtain).
- Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Strong organizational skills with an emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Certification in Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies.
- Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Familiarity with Jamaican customs and import/export regulations for goods.
