Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pack, label, and prepare products for shipment according to established procedures and quality standards.
- Verify product counts against packing lists and shipping manifests to ensure accuracy.
- Operate manual and powered material handling equipment (such as pallet jacks, if certified) safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all company safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including receiving, sorting, and stock rotation as needed.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize workflow and resolve any packing or shipping discrepancies.
- Load and unload materials and products, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Perform routine checks on packing materials and equipment, reporting any issues or shortages.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the warehouse operations.
Required Skills
- Minimum 6 months of experience in a warehouse, production, or logistics environment.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Demonstrated ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team-oriented setting.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all safety policies.
- Reliable transportation to and from our Naugatuck facility.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience with inventory management systems or handheld scanners.
