Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pick and pack customer orders according to specifications, ensuring product integrity and order completeness.
- Verify product quantities, descriptions, and condition against order documents.
- Operate various warehouse equipment safely and efficiently, including pallet jacks and hand trucks (training provided).
- Prepare items for shipment, including labeling, weighing, and staging according to carrier requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering strictly to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Perform quality checks on packed items to prevent damage or errors during transit.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily productivity and accuracy goals.
- Participate in inventory counts and contribute to maintaining accurate stock records.
- Report any discrepancies, damages, or safety concerns to supervisory staff immediately.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic computer literacy for scanning and data entry.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions precisely.
- Reliable transportation to and from the Kansas City facility.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing environment.
- Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment (certification a plus).
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability to changing priorities.
