Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming goods, verifying quantities against purchase orders and reporting any discrepancies.
- Accurately store items in designated warehouse locations using appropriate manual and mechanical handling equipment (training provided).
- Pick and pack customer orders according to specified requirements, ensuring accuracy, quality, and adherence to deadlines.
- Prepare goods for dispatch, including labelling, scanning, and loading onto delivery vehicles, often coordinating with drivers.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet trucks and potentially forklifts (where certified or after company training) safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment at all times, adhering strictly to company health and safety regulations and procedures.
- Assist with regular inventory counts and stock control procedures, ensuring data accuracy and contributing to efficient stock management.
- Report any discrepancies, damage, or potential safety hazards to the warehouse supervisor promptly.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments to achieve daily operational targets and maintain workflow efficiency.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the warehouse, suggesting ways to enhance productivity or safety.
Required Skills
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all tasks.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, bending, and safely lifting and moving goods up to 25kg regularly.
- Good basic literacy and numeracy skills for reading labels, checking quantities, and completing documentation.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic and commitment to attendance.
