Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and check incoming goods against delivery notes, ensuring accuracy and reporting discrepancies.
- Store goods safely and efficiently in designated warehouse locations, optimizing space utilization.
- Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently according to customer requirements and deadlines.
- Prepare goods for dispatch, including labelling, wrapping, and loading onto vehicles.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet trucks and potentially forklifts (if certified and required) in a safe manner.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment, adhering strictly to health and safety regulations.
- Conduct regular stock checks and assist with inventory management.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to meet daily operational targets.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards promptly.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills to read labels, count stock, and follow instructions.
- Excellent work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to adhering to all health and safety procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Experience operating MHE (Manual Handling Equipment) such as pump trucks.
- Valid forklift (FLT) license (e.g., Counterbalance, Reach Truck) is a significant advantage, but not essential.
- Basic proficiency in English language (reading, writing, and speaking).
- Understanding of warehouse management systems.
