As a Warehouse Manager with training provided, you will embark on an immersive program designed to equip you with the specific knowledge and skills required to excel within our sophisticated logistics environment. You will learn the intricacies of managing warehouse staff, optimizing storage and distribution processes, ensuring safety compliance, and leveraging our advanced WMS (Warehouse Management System). This role is perfect for someone with some prior warehouse experience who is ready for a significant increase in responsibility and wishes to develop into a highly competent and effective leader. Key Responsibilities
- Actively participate in the comprehensive training program to develop expert knowledge of Raben's warehouse operations, systems, and procedures.
- Oversee and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping of goods, under guided supervision initially.
- Manage and motivate a team of warehouse operatives, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Implement and enforce health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for all staff.
- Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular stock counts, and ensure accurate data recording within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains, contributing to cost reduction and operational excellence.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as transport and customer service, to ensure seamless logistics operations.
- Prepare regular reports on warehouse performance, including KPIs related to productivity, accuracy, and safety.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.
Required Skills
- Prior experience (at least 1-2 years) in a warehouse or logistics environment, ideally in a supervisory or team lead capacity.
- Demonstrated leadership potential and ability to motivate and manage a team.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
- Basic knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or inventory software.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
- Strong commitment to safety and operational efficiency.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Familiarity with Lean principles or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Knowledge of Polish language (verbal and written) is a significant advantage.
- Experience with forklifts or other warehouse machinery (certification a plus).
