Key Responsibilities
- Safely load and unload freight, cargo, and materials from trucks, containers, and other transport vehicles.
- Operate various material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, and potentially forklifts (with proper certification).
- Organize and stack goods in designated warehouse areas with precision and care.
- Verify incoming and outgoing shipments against packing lists or manifests for accuracy and completeness.
- Inspect freight for damage and report any discrepancies or issues promptly.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all company safety protocols and procedures.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support overall warehouse operations.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift heavy objects regularly (up to 50 lbs) and perform strenuous physical tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling shipments.
- Excellent work ethic and reliability, including punctuality and consistent attendance.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and safety principles.
