Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently and accurately load and unload freight by hand or using appropriate material handling equipment.
- Verify product quantities and ensure shipments match accompanying documentation.
- Organize and stack materials safely and efficiently in designated warehouse locations.
- Inspect products for damage and report discrepancies or issues immediately.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, company policies, and provincial regulations.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts (if certified) in a safe manner.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to meet daily operational goals.
- Assist with inventory counts and other general warehouse duties as required.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 50 lbs) regularly throughout a shift.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing shipments.
- Basic comprehension of English for safety instructions and documentation.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
- Commitment to adhering to all safety procedures and guidelines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Certification or experience operating material handling equipment (e.g., forklift, pallet jack).
