Job Description
Are you a physically capable and diligent individual looking for a dynamic role in a bustling logistics environment? Sogecoa is seeking a dedicated Warehouse Loader to join our team in Kalemie, Tanganyika Province. Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload cargo from trucks, containers, and boats manually or using basic material handling equipment.
- Verify cargo against manifests or other documentation to ensure accuracy of shipments.
- Organize and stack goods within the warehouse efficiently and safely, optimizing space.
- Perform routine checks on material handling equipment and report any malfunctions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment, adhering to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation as required.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
- Report any damaged goods or discrepancies immediately to the supervisor.
- Follow all instructions regarding cargo handling, storage, and dispatch.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy items and prolonged standing/walking.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling cargo and documentation.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills to read manifests and count stock.
- Commitment to adhering to safety regulations and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 months experience in a warehouse, logistics, or similar loading/unloading role.

- High school diploma or equivalent.
