Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming inventory accurately, comparing against purchase orders and packing lists.
- Efficiently and safely stock materials in designated warehouse locations, ensuring optimal space utilization.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and full inventory counts, investigating discrepancies and adjusting records as needed.
- Pick and stage outbound orders with precision, ensuring correct items and quantities are prepared for shipment.
- Operate various material handling equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, in a safe and efficient manner.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment, adhering to all company safety protocols and procedures.
- Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to track inventory movements, process transactions, and generate reports.
- Identify and report damaged or defective goods, ensuring proper handling and documentation.
- Collaborate effectively with team members across different departments to optimize workflow and resolve issues.
Required Skills
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a warehouse or inventory control role.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts and electric pallet jacks (valid certification preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
- Basic computer literacy, including experience with inventory software or WMS.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Commitment to safety procedures and practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Previous experience with a specific WMS (e.g., SAP, Oracle, HighJump).
- Experience with barcode scanning technology.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
