Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload packages from trailers, trucks, and conveyor belts, utilizing appropriate equipment and safety procedures.
- Sort packages efficiently and accurately based on destination, size, and weight guidelines.
- Scan packages using handheld devices to ensure proper tracking and inventory management.
- Operate various material handling equipment safely and effectively, such as pallet jacks or hand trucks, if required and after proper training.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering strictly to all UPS safety protocols and procedures.
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve daily operational goals and maintain workflow efficiency.
- Perform general warehouse duties as assigned by supervisors, including assisting with inventory counts and facility upkeep.
- Ensure packages are handled with care to prevent damage during transit.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry packages weighing up to 70 lbs (with assistance for heavier items) regularly.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and twist for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in sorting and scanning packages.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
