Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of assigned premises, both on foot and using company vehicles, to ensure security and detect any irregularities.
- Monitor surveillance equipment, including CCTV cameras and alarms, to identify and respond to potential threats or incidents.
- Respond promptly and effectively to alarms, emergency calls, and suspicious activities.
- Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and investigations accurately and thoroughly.
- Enforce company policies, procedures, and safety regulations, ensuring compliance by cast members and visitors.
- Provide exceptional customer service and assistance to cast members, vendors, and guests while maintaining a vigilant posture.
- Conduct access control, including verifying credentials and managing entry/exit points.
- Assist in emergency situations, including evacuations, first aid, and collaborating with emergency services.
- Write detailed reports on incidents, daily activities, and observations.
- Maintain a professional and uniformed presence, representing The Walt Disney Company with integrity and respect.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in security, law enforcement, or military service.
- Valid Missouri Security Guard License (or ability to obtain upon hire).
- Excellent observational and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to operate surveillance equipment and basic security technology.
- Physical capability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods, and respond to emergencies.
- Demonstrated ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications for reporting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or higher in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or related field.
- Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications.
- Experience in a corporate or entertainment security environment.
- Familiarity with local, state, and federal security regulations.
- Prior training in de-escalation techniques and conflict resolution.
