Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of associates, fostering a positive and productive work environment aligned with Walmart's values.
  • Oversee daily store operations, ensuring efficient workflow, adherence to company policies, and achievement of sales targets.
  • Manage merchandise presentation, inventory levels, and stock replenishment to maximize sales, reduce shrink, and enhance the shopping experience.
  • Ensure high standards of customer service are consistently met, handling customer inquiries and resolving issues promptly and professionally.
  • Conduct regular team meetings and training sessions to enhance associate performance, skill development, and engagement.
  • Monitor store cleanliness, safety protocols, and compliance with all health and sanitation regulations to provide a safe environment for associates and customers.
  • Assist in scheduling associates, managing breaks, and ensuring adequate staffing levels to meet operational needs and customer demand.
  • Analyze sales data, operational reports, and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and implement effective strategies.
  • Support the hiring, onboarding, and ongoing performance management processes for new and existing associates.
  • Act as a keyholder, assisting with opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and implementing security measures.

Required Skills

  • Proven leadership and team management experience in a retail environment (minimum 2 years).
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire, coach, and develop others.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing operational challenges swiftly and effectively.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the capacity to multitask effectively in a dynamic setting.
  • Proficiency in retail operations, including inventory management, merchandising, and superior customer service practices.
