Key Responsibilities

  • Execute merchandising plans by stocking, rotating, and displaying products according to company standards and planograms.
  • Ensure products are properly priced and clearly labeled, maintaining accurate signage and promotional materials.
  • Monitor inventory levels on the sales floor, identifying and communicating stock shortages or overages to management.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe sales floor, including aisles, shelves, and display areas, regularly recovering and facing products.
  • Assist in the unloading of merchandise from trucks and organize it efficiently in the backroom, ensuring proper product flow and storage.
  • Collaborate with team members and leadership to ensure all merchandising tasks are completed efficiently and effectively to meet daily goals.
  • Provide excellent customer service by assisting shoppers with product location, inquiries, and providing a friendly shopping experience when needed.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including strict adherence to safety and loss prevention protocols.
  • Support store opening and closing procedures as required, contributing to overall operational efficiency and readiness.
  • Participate in store-wide initiatives, remodels, or seasonal changes, ensuring displays are refreshed and appealing.

Required Skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic retail environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Physical ability to lift and move merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs regularly and stand for extended periods.
  • Effective communication and strong teamwork abilities.
  • Basic understanding of inventory and merchandising principles.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as retail schedules require.
  • Ability to operate basic retail equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, balers) after proper training.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous experience (0-6 months) in retail, stocking, merchandising, or a similar physically demanding role.
  • Familiarity with retail point-of-sale (POS) systems or handheld inventory devices.
  • A passion for providing excellent customer service.
