Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unpack, and examine incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders and invoices.
- Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined inventory procedures.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by performing regular cycle counts and assisting with year-end inventory audits.
- Identify and report discrepancies, damages, or shortages of goods to the supervisor.
- Ensure the warehouse and stockroom areas are clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Operate manual and powered material handling equipment safely and efficiently (e.g., pallet jacks, hand trucks).
- Assist in the preparation of outgoing shipments, ensuring proper packaging and labeling.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize storage space and improve workflow efficiency.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing inventory.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Basic computer literacy for inventory tracking and data entry.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
