Key Responsibilities
- Receive, scan, and sort incoming and outgoing packages and freight.
- Verify shipping information against manifest or other documentation for accuracy.
- Prepare packages for shipment, including labeling, weighing, and ensuring proper packaging.
- Operate scanning equipment and computers to log package data and update tracking information.
- Load and unload packages from vehicles and conveyor belts, often requiring physical exertion.
- Assist with the organization and maintenance of the shipping area to ensure efficiency and safety.
- Identify and report any damaged or suspicious packages to supervisors.
- Adhere to all company safety guidelines and procedures.
