Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service, assisting with all service needs.
- Handle inbound and outbound packages, including receiving, sorting, and processing for shipment.
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems, accurately processing cash and credit card transactions.
- Assist customers with printing, copying, scanning, and faxing services, including document preparation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting store environment, including merchandising displays.
- Educate customers on various UPS products, services, and packaging options, identifying opportunities for cross-selling and upselling.
- Manage mailbox services, including rent new mailboxes and distributing mail to existing box holders.
- Answer phones professionally, addressing customer inquiries and providing accurate information.
- Support store operations by completing daily tasks such as inventory checks and opening/closing procedures.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety and security guidelines.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a customer service or retail sales environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn new software.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with POS systems and cash handling.
- Prior experience in a packing/shipping or print services role.
- Notary Public commission or willingness to become one.
- Associate’s degree or higher.
