Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and monitor the daily movement of freight and packages, ensuring timely and efficient delivery schedules.
  • Utilize transportation management systems (TMS) to track shipments, update statuses, and resolve potential delays.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams (warehouse, drivers, sales) and external partners (carriers, vendors, customers) regarding shipment details and any issues.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate shipping documentation, including bills of lading, customs forms, and delivery receipts.
  • Identify and troubleshoot logistical problems, implementing solutions to minimize disruptions and optimize processes.
  • Assist in the scheduling and dispatching of drivers and vehicles, ensuring routes are optimized for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper staging and loading of goods.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, federal, and international transportation regulations and company policies.
  • Generate regular reports on logistics performance, highlighting key metrics and areas for improvement.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and customer service.

Required Skills

  • 2+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or transportation coordination.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
