Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly inventory counts (cycle counts and physical inventories).
  • Investigate and resolve all inventory discrepancies, including shortages, overages, and misplacements.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records within the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and other databases.
  • Generate and analyze inventory reports to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Coordinate with warehouse operations, shipping, and receiving departments to ensure accurate inbound and outbound inventory flow.
  • Assist in the optimization of storage space and layout for maximum efficiency.
  • Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Conduct quality control checks on incoming and outgoing products to ensure accuracy.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives related to inventory management.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in inventory control or a related warehouse role.
  • Proficiency in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory tracking software.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education or certification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in a high-volume logistics or distribution center environment.
  • Knowledge of lean inventory principles and practices.
  • Forklift operator certification (an asset).
