Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage daily delivery and pickup schedules for a team of drivers, optimizing routes for efficiency and timely service.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for drivers, providing real-time support, addressing operational issues, and assisting with route adjustments.
  • Monitor delivery progress using internal tracking systems, proactively identifying and resolving potential delays or complications.
  • Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery inquiries, service updates, and special requests, ensuring a positive experience.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, and driver activities, preparing daily reports and ensuring data integrity.
  • Collaborate closely with various departments, including customer service and warehouse operations, to ensure seamless workflow.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as dispatching, package sorting, and preparing documentation as required.
  • Ensure adherence to all safety protocols and company policies, promoting a safe working environment for all team members.
  • Handle unexpected challenges and emergencies with calm and effective problem-solving skills to minimize disruption.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a coordination, dispatch, or administrative role, preferably within logistics or transportation.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a professional and customer-focused approach.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfortable learning new internal software systems.
  • Proven problem-solving abilities and a proactive attitude in addressing operational challenges.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in the transportation or courier industry.
  • Knowledge of Moncton and surrounding New Brunswick area geography and routes.
  • Bilingualism (English and French) is considered a strong asset, given the regional demographics.
  • Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
