Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver engaging and rigorous courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
- Conduct original, high-quality research leading to peer-reviewed publications and presentations.
- Seek and secure external funding through grants and contracts to support research endeavors.
- Mentor and advise undergraduate and graduate students, supervising theses and dissertations.
- Participate actively in departmental, college, and university committees and service initiatives.
- Contribute to the intellectual life of the university through seminars, workshops, and interdisciplinary collaborations.
- Maintain an active and visible presence in national and international professional organizations.
- Stay current with developments in your field and incorporate new knowledge into teaching and research.
Required Skills
- Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree in a relevant academic discipline.
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching at the university level.
- A strong record of scholarly publications and research output.
- Proven ability to secure external research funding or strong potential to do so.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and diverse learning environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a collegial academic setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience mentoring graduate students and supervising dissertations.
