Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Supply Chain Officer to join our dynamic team in Amadi Flats, Trans-Amadi, Port Harcourt. This is a critical role within our operations, ensuring the efficient flow of goods from suppliers to our customers, ultimately supporting our mission to deliver beloved brands to millions across Nigeria. The successful candidate will be instrumental in optimizing our supply chain processes, managing inventory, coordinating logistics, and collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize inventory levels to meet demand while minimizing holding costs.
- Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics, including transportation and warehousing, to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products.
- Collaborate with procurement, production, and sales teams to align supply chain activities with business objectives.
- Monitor supplier performance, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, forecast demand, and recommend process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Prepare regular reports on supply chain performance, including key metrics and variances.
- Participate in cross-functional projects aimed at enhancing supply chain efficiency and innovation.
- Resolve supply chain issues and disruptions promptly and effectively.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in supply chain operations, preferably within the FMCG sector.
- Proficiency in SAP or other enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office Suite applications.
- Sound knowledge of logistics, warehousing, and inventory management principles.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., APICS, CILT).
- Experience with demand planning and forecasting tools.
- Proven track record of driving process improvements and cost reductions in a supply chain environment.
- Familiarity with local and international logistics regulations.
