Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with existing and potential retail clients within the assigned Glasgow territory.
- Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for a defined portfolio of Unilever brands.
- Execute strategic sales plans, promotional activities, and merchandising initiatives in retail stores.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and consumer insights to identify new opportunities and challenges.
- Introduce new products and secure prominent shelf placement and visibility in stores.
- Conduct regular store visits, ensuring product availability, correct pricing, and effective merchandising.
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing client inquiries and resolving issues promptly and efficiently.
- Prepare and present regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance analyses to management.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, logistics, and finance teams to ensure seamless operations and client satisfaction.
- Participate in sales meetings, training sessions, and industry events as required.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a field sales or account management role within the FMCG sector.
- Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Excellent negotiation, persuasion, and closing skills.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage a territory effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Full clean UK driving license and willingness to travel extensively within the Glasgow area.
