Job Description
Prowork Digital Agency is seeking a highly skilled and passionate UI/UX Designer with a strong focus on Product and Digital Design to join our growing team in Abuloma, Port Harcourt. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in conceptualizing, designing, and optimizing user interfaces and user experiences for a diverse range of digital products, including websites, mobile applications, and other interactive platforms. You will work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to translate complex requirements into intuitive, engaging, and visually appealing designs that meet both user needs and business objectives. Your expertise will guide projects from initial discovery and user research through wireframing, prototyping, and final UI implementation, ensuring a seamless and delightful user journey. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive user research, usability testing, and analysis to identify user needs and pain points.
- Develop wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and sitemaps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.
- Design and iterate on high-fidelity user interface mockups and prototypes for web and mobile applications.
- Translate concepts into user flows, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and other designers to ensure design consistency and feasibility.
- Present and defend designs and key deliverables to peers and executive level stakeholders.
- Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices, and standards.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest UI/UX trends, techniques, and technologies.
- Facilitate product vision by researching, conceiving, sketching, prototyping, and user-testing experiences for digital products.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, InVision.
- Demonstrable UI/UX design skills with a strong portfolio.
- Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, usability, and accessibility standards.
- Experience with user research methodologies and usability testing.
- Strong understanding of responsive design principles and mobile-first approach.
- Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate design concepts clearly.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Design, Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related field.
- Experience with motion graphics and animation for UI.
- Knowledge of front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to understand technical constraints.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.
- Understanding of SEO principles and how they relate to design.
