Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior loan officers in the processing and documentation of loan applications for individuals and small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
- Engage with prospective and existing customers to understand their financial needs and introduce them to UBA's loan products and services.
- Gather and verify necessary financial documents and information from applicants, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Conduct initial customer screenings and assist in basic creditworthiness assessments under supervision.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of UBA's lending policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare preliminary loan proposals and assist in the presentation of loan recommendations to credit committees.
- Support the monitoring of loan portfolios and assist in managing customer relationships post-disbursement.
- Ensure strict adherence to all internal controls, compliance guidelines, and banking regulations.
- Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance product knowledge and professional skills.
- Contribute to team targets and objectives by identifying potential cross-selling opportunities for other bank products.
