Job Description
Are you a passionate and dedicated educator with a flair for personalized teaching? Springforth School Uyo is seeking highly motivated and experienced Tutors to provide exceptional home lesson and private teaching services to students in Ikot Oku Ikono, Uyo. This is an exciting opportunity to make a tangible impact on students’ academic performance and confidence, working outside the traditional classroom setting but with the backing and resources of a reputable educational institution.
As a Private Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging, comprehensive, and customized lessons across various subjects to students from primary to secondary levels. This role requires a deep understanding of the Nigerian curriculum, excellent communication skills, and the ability to adapt teaching strategies to suit individual learning styles. You will work closely with students to identify their strengths and areas for improvement, setting clear learning objectives and tracking progress effectively. Our ideal candidate is not just a teacher but a mentor, capable of inspiring students and instilling a love for learning. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver engaging, individualized lesson plans tailored to student needs and the Nigerian curriculum.
- Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring in core subjects (e.g., Mathematics, English Language, Sciences) for primary and secondary school students.
- Assess student's current knowledge and learning styles to customize teaching methodologies effectively.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing regular feedback to students and their parents/guardians.
- Create a supportive, encouraging, and challenging learning environment.
- Help students develop effective study habits, organizational skills, and test-taking strategies.
- Communicate regularly and effectively with parents/guardians regarding student performance, challenges, and achievements.
- Prepare students for examinations, including WAEC, NECO, and other school-based assessments.
- Stay updated with curriculum changes and best teaching practices.
- Maintain professionalism and punctuality in all tutoring sessions.
