Key Responsibilities

  • Consult clients to understand their travel needs, preferences, and budget to design personalized itineraries.
  • Advise clients on suitable destinations, travel dates, transportation options, accommodation, tours, and activities.
  • Handle bookings for flights, hotels, cruises, car rentals, and package tours efficiently and accurately.
  • Process payments, issue tickets, and confirm reservations, ensuring all details are meticulously checked.
  • Provide comprehensive information on travel regulations, visa requirements, travel insurance, and health guidelines.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of travel trends, popular destinations, new products, and industry developments.
  • Achieve sales targets and contribute to the overall growth of the company.
  • Handle client queries, resolve issues, and provide excellent after-sales support to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, fostering repeat business and referrals.
  • Utilize travel booking systems and CRM software effectively to manage client information and bookings.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Travel Consultant or in a similar sales/customer service role within the travel industry.
  • Strong knowledge of various travel destinations, booking procedures, and travel industry regulations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Customer-focused approach with a passion for delivering exceptional service.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in using Global Distribution Systems (GDS) such as Amadeus, Sabre, or Galileo, or similar travel booking software.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Tourism, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
  • Experience with CRM systems for client management.
  • Fluency in additional languages (e.g., Mandarin, Malay, Tamil) to serve a diverse clientele.
  • Familiarity with visa application processes for popular travel destinations.
  • Certification in travel and tourism or related industry courses.
