Joliza Travels & Tours Limited is seeking a dedicated Travel Agent to join our vibrant team at our ticketing office and reservation desk in Ediye, Calabar. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and process flight bookings, hotel reservations, car rentals, and tour packages using GDS platforms (e.g., Amadeus, Sabre).
  • Consult with clients to understand their travel needs, preferences, and budget, providing expert advice on destinations, routes, and travel options.
  • Prepare customized travel itineraries, ensuring all aspects of the trip are meticulously planned and confirmed.
  • Handle visa application assistance, travel insurance sales, and other related travel services.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of travel regulations, destination requirements, airline policies, and industry trends.
  • Process payments, manage bookings, issue tickets, and handle cancellations or changes efficiently.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and encouraging repeat business.
  • Resolve customer inquiries, complaints, and travel-related issues promptly and professionally.
  • Achieve sales targets and contribute to the overall growth of the company.
  • Maintain accurate records of all transactions and client interactions.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Travel Agent or in a similar role within the travel industry.
  • Proficiency in using Global Distribution Systems (GDS) such as Amadeus or Sabre.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and sales skills.
  • Strong geographical knowledge and understanding of international travel regulations.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Problem-solving skills and a customer-focused approach.

Preferred Qualifications

  • IATA certification or relevant travel industry diploma.
  • Experience with a CRM system for customer management.
