Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Town Planner with a specialized focus on construction layout and design review to join our dynamic team in GRA Phase 1, Port Harcourt. This pivotal role involves overseeing the planning and design aspects of various construction projects, ensuring adherence to urban planning principles, regulatory frameworks, and our company’s high standards of quality and sustainability. The successful candidate will be instrumental in bridging conceptual designs with practical implementation, reviewing construction layouts, architectural plans, and engineering designs to ensure compliance with local planning laws, zoning ordinances, and environmental regulations.
As a Town Planner with Julius Berger, you will be a key player in the project lifecycle, from initial feasibility studies and site analysis to the final approval of construction designs. Your expertise will guide project teams in developing master plans that are not only aesthetically pleasing and functional but also environmentally sound and economically viable. You will conduct thorough design reviews, identifying potential conflicts, recommending optimizations, and ensuring that all layouts align with the project’s strategic objectives and urban development guidelines. This role demands a keen eye for detail, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to collaborate effectively with architects, engineers, environmental consultants, and regulatory bodies.
Furthermore, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting comprehensive reports, plans, and proposals to stakeholders, advocating for sustainable urban planning solutions and ensuring public acceptance where necessary. Your ability to navigate complex regulatory landscapes, interpret technical drawings, and communicate planning concepts clearly will be crucial. This is an exceptional opportunity for a Town Planner to make a significant impact on large-scale construction and infrastructure projects, contributing to the sustainable growth and development of communities in Rivers State and beyond.
