Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate the end-to-end supply chain activities, including strategic procurement, intricate logistics, efficient warehousing, and robust distribution of petroleum products and other related items.
- Monitor inventory levels meticulously, accurately forecast demand using advanced analytics, and implement proactive strategies to optimize stock holdings while minimizing obsolescence and waste.
- Negotiate strategically with suppliers and service providers to secure highly favorable terms, ensuring superior quality, optimal cost-effectiveness, and reliable, timely delivery.
- Oversee all transport operations comprehensively, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations, maximum efficiency, and stringent cost control measures.
- Implement and rigorously maintain robust supply chain processes and best practice procedures to continuously enhance operational efficiency and regulatory compliance.
- Utilize advanced supply chain management software and sophisticated tools to accurately track shipments, thoroughly analyze performance metrics, and generate insightful reports.
- Proactively identify and strategically mitigate potential supply chain risks, including disruptions, unforeseen delays, and critical quality issues.
- Collaborate seamlessly with internal stakeholders to meticulously align supply chain activities with aggressive sales targets, precise production schedules, and crucial financial objectives.
- Prepare and present regular, comprehensive reports on overall supply chain performance, key metrics, and actionable areas for continuous improvement.
- Ensure full and unwavering compliance with all relevant local and international trade regulations, company policies, and the highest ethical standards.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (minimum 3 years) in supply chain management, logistics, or procurement, ideally within the oil and gas or FMCG sector.
- Strong understanding of core supply chain principles, including inventory management, warehousing, and transportation strategies.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, for effective stakeholder engagement.
- Proficiency in using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (e.g., SAP) and specialized supply chain management software.
- Advanced analytical, critical thinking, and complex problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- High level of integrity, strong ethical compass, and meticulous attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
- Professional certification in Supply Chain Management (e.g., APICS, CIPS) is a significant advantage.
- Extensive experience with SAP or similar large-scale ERP systems for supply chain modules.
- Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements, implement best practices, and achieve significant cost reduction initiatives.
- In-depth knowledge of Nigerian customs procedures and port operations.
