Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service, assisting shoppers with product inquiries, locating merchandise, and resolving concerns with a friendly and helpful demeanor.
  • Operate cash registers accurately and efficiently, processing various payment types, handling cash, and issuing receipts.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing sales floor, including merchandising new arrivals, returning displaced items, and ensuring fitting rooms are tidy.
  • Assist with the processing of new merchandise, including unpacking, pricing, and placing items on the sales floor in a timely manner.
  • Support loss prevention efforts by being observant of unusual activities and adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve daily sales goals and maintain store operational standards.
  • Participate in store opening and closing procedures as required.

Required Skills

  • Proven ability to provide excellent customer service and build rapport with diverse customers.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Basic mathematical skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet business needs.
  • Physical capability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 pounds, and perform repetitive motions such as bending, stooping, and reaching.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a retail sales or customer service role.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems.
