Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service, assisting shoppers with product inquiries, locating merchandise, and resolving concerns with a friendly and helpful demeanor.
- Operate cash registers accurately and efficiently, processing various payment types, handling cash, and issuing receipts.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing sales floor, including merchandising new arrivals, returning displaced items, and ensuring fitting rooms are tidy.
- Assist with the processing of new merchandise, including unpacking, pricing, and placing items on the sales floor in a timely manner.
- Support loss prevention efforts by being observant of unusual activities and adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily sales goals and maintain store operational standards.
- Participate in store opening and closing procedures as required.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to provide excellent customer service and build rapport with diverse customers.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Basic mathematical skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet business needs.
- Physical capability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 pounds, and perform repetitive motions such as bending, stooping, and reaching.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a retail sales or customer service role.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems.
