Key Responsibilities
- Assist Service Technicians with various tasks, including vehicle inspections, tire rotations, brake services, and general maintenance procedures.
- Perform basic vehicle preparations, such as detailing, cleaning, and sanitization before and after service appointments.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the service center, including tools, equipment, and work areas.
- Help with inventory management, stocking parts, and ensuring proper storage of materials.
- Support in the safe handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
- Transport vehicles within the service center premises safely and efficiently.
- Shadow and learn from experienced technicians, actively participating in training and skill-building opportunities.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with team members and contribute to a positive working environment.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid driver's license in the state of Virginia and a clean driving record.
- Ability to operate basic hand and power tools safely.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and a genuine interest in automotive technology.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in an automotive shop, quick lube, or general repair environment.
- Enrollment in or completion of an automotive technical program.
- Familiarity with electric vehicles or high-voltage systems (training will be provided).
- Basic computer proficiency for accessing repair manuals and documentation.
