Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform thorough inspections of incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products according to established quality standards and engineering specifications.
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments, gauges, and testing equipment to verify product dimensions, tolerances, and functional requirements.
  • Identify, document, and report non-conforming materials or products, collaborating with production and engineering teams on root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate quality records, inspection reports, and documentation for traceability and audit purposes.
  • Conduct visual inspections for defects, cosmetic flaws, and proper assembly, ensuring adherence to aesthetic and functional requirements.
  • Assist in the development and improvement of inspection procedures, work instructions, and quality control plans.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and quality management system requirements (e.g., ISO 9001).
  • Provide feedback and training to production personnel on quality standards and best practices.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and manufacturing efficiency.

Required Skills

  • 2+ years of experience in quality control or inspection in a manufacturing environment, preferably automotive.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
  • Demonstrated ability to use various measuring tools, including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and CMMs.
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to inspection.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Basic computer proficiency for data entry and report generation.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or technical certification in a relevant field.
  • Experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS) such as ISO 9001.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Certification from ASQ (American Society for Quality) or similar professional body.
  • Prior experience in the electric vehicle or high-tech manufacturing sector.
