Key Responsibilities
- Perform assembly tasks according to standardized work instructions, ensuring high quality and safety standards are met.
- Operate a variety of hand tools, power tools, and production equipment in an efficient and safe manner.
- Conduct thorough quality checks on products and components, identifying and reporting any defects or discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, strictly adhering to 5S principles and facility guidelines.
- Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives, problem-solving activities, and team meetings to enhance processes.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, consistently wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Collaborate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments to meet demanding production targets.
- Cross-train on different workstations and processes as needed to support production flexibility and versatility.
- Troubleshoot basic production issues on the line and escalate complex problems to appropriate technical personnel.
- Ensure accurate documentation and data entry related to production processes, output, and quality checks.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks requiring manual dexterity and physical stamina for extended periods.
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to producing high-quality, defect-free work.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, fostering effective teamwork and collaboration.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately and efficiently.
- Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends and overtime, as production demands require.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes or a strong willingness to learn new production techniques.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (1+ years) in a manufacturing, production, or assembly environment.
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles (e.g., 5S, Kaizen, JIT).
- Certification in forklift operation or other heavy equipment (where applicable).
- Technical aptitude and ability to learn new technologies and operating systems quickly.
- Associates degree or vocational training in a relevant technical or manufacturing field.
