As a Tesla Maintenance Technician, your responsibilities will span a wide array of critical tasks, encompassing everything from executing meticulous preventative maintenance schedules to performing complex diagnostics and intricate repairs. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on facility equipment, machinery, and systems to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and components.
  • Execute corrective maintenance, including replacing defective parts, repairing wiring, and adjusting functional parts of devices and control instruments.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of machinery and equipment to identify and resolve potential issues before they escalate.
  • Utilize computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) for work order tracking, inventory management, and maintenance record-keeping.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, Lockout/Tagout procedures, and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and other teams to improve equipment reliability and overall operational efficiency.
  • Assist in the installation, commissioning, and validation of new equipment and systems.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored and accounted for.
  • Participate in on-call rotations or work extended hours as needed to support critical operations.

Required Skills

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in industrial maintenance, electrical, or mechanical roles.
  • Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, including PLCs, motors, and control circuits.
  • Proficiency in using a variety of hand and power tools, as well as diagnostic equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or technical certification in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience with electric vehicle (EV) technology or high-voltage systems.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience with CMMS software (e.g., SAP, Maximo).
  • OSHA 10 or 30-hour certification.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or high-tech environment.
