Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing store team, fostering a culture of teamwork and customer focus.
  • Oversee all aspects of store operations, including sales, merchandising, inventory management, and loss prevention.
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets, managing profit & loss (P&L) effectively to maximize profitability.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service standards are consistently met and exceeded, addressing customer feedback promptly.
  • Implement and enforce company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and retail regulations.
  • Manage staff scheduling, training, and performance reviews, promoting continuous professional development.
  • Maintain high standards of store appearance, cleanliness, and product presentation.
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Communicate effectively with district management, sharing insights and implementing strategic directives.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in retail management, with at least 2 years in a Store Manager role.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing store P&L.
  • Exceptional leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate staff.
  • Strong customer service orientation and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in retail management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field.
  • Experience managing large format retail stores or multiple departments.
  • Familiarity with local market dynamics and consumer preferences in Merrillville, Indiana.
